Flip4Mac (play Windows Media Player files with Quicktime)

Stuffit (unzip large files downloaded from the web or your emails)

NeoOffice (an open source project that is compatible with many office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

FireFox (a web browser created by Mozilla that is cross platform)

Liquid Mac (a little program that is a fun addition to any Apple laptop)
